This article presents a research project aiming at characterizing attitudes and diverse opinions about the nature of technical and technological education among instructors of a technical and technological educational institution in order to inquire into strengths and weaknesses in the comprehension of topics related to science, technology and society. This is done by the questionnaire of opinions about science, technology and society. The target population was composed of technical and cross-curricular subject tutors. Statistical analyses showed a slightly positive and informed attitude regarding the total sample. However, it was quite remarkable that cross-curricular subject intructors showed higher levels of being informed and positive than technical subject instructors. In this context, an overview will enable a wide vision of needs and requirements involving intructors education and work.
