En el nuevo curriculo de la Carrera de Enfermeria de la Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, la epidemiologia es considerada como un ambito en el que entran en juego los elementos que configuran el marco conceptual de la enfermeria: la epidemiologia y el proceso de aprendizaje. Estos son elementos que se enmarcan con enfoque y criterio del pensamiento sistemico al abordar el estudio de la salud individual y colectiva.
