This article contributes to the understanding of soil fertility and proposes the application of qualitative and quantitative analytical indicators to interpret and diagnose soil offer. These indicators evalúate mineralogical, physical, Chemical and biological components and determine potential and actual fertility of agricultural soils. This new approach promotes the use of these indicators to complement soil analysis, generally the only parameter used to evalúate soil fertility and nutrient management.
