The patient-doctor relationship has had to face new conflictive situations for a long time now. This is because ethical rationality has been overcome by economic rationality. Medicine cannot provide definitive solutions when faced by this recent phenomena. This logical situation needs to be decanted in the sense that we have gained a lot of experience from the practice of corporative medicine. For the moment doctors have more questions than they can provide answers for; what Is needed then, is the conciliation betweenscience's most humane face, i.e. medicine, with the most impersonal social science, i.e. economics.
