The high penetration of wind turbines in recent years has increased the interest of studying the impact of such generation systems in the power network. Aspects like power quality and dynamic studies have motivated research work in the modelling of processes involved in the conversion of wind energy. In Colombia, wind turbine technology is in an early stage and only a medium size project has been developed. The need for alternative sources of energy demands that colombian scientific community do more research efforts in the field of wind technology. This paper presents the modelling of fixed speed - stall controlled wind turbines for power quality assessment.
