En el presente articulo exponemos un trabajo en el cual se desarrollo un sistema de control localizado en un retenedor dental para realizar el manejo de un “mouse” (raton). Inicialmente se estudiaron diferentes posibilidades para determinar la clase de sensores a utilizar y la manera de ubicarlos en el paladar. Luego se estudio y desarrollo el hardware y el software necesario para llevar y convertir esas senales provenientes de los sensores al computador. Por ultimo se evaluo el comportamiento del sistema calificando su facilidad operacional y su versatilidad. ABSTRACT In this paper we expose a work in which we developed a control system placed on a dental retainer to direct a com puter “mouse”. Initially we studied different possibilities in order to determinate the type of sensors and the way to place them on the retainer. Then, we studied and developed the hardware and software necessary to take the incoming signal from the sensors to the computer. At last we evalu ated the behavior of the system in terms of its operational ease and its versatility.
