This life story is an invitation to understand the political power of women in cultures which conceive and practice power as the art of seeing, dreaming, healing, and of knowing and understanding nature and society as integral entities. The aim of this article is to present a new epistemic standpoint, which recognizes the wisdom of a woman who belongs to a segment of society that has been historically subordinated and colonized. In addition, the article presents new paths for women’s political struggle, which include nature, body and emotions, as well dreams and the world of spirits. The history of Maria Rosario Sandovalin is complemented with feminist approaches, in particular with those that declare the affirmative value of difference and singularity.
