The maintenance of Portals with different websites represents a lot of expenses for the organizations, because they are forced to offer maintenance to a great amount of diverse information. This fact is currently viewed in the venezuelan context. This is not only about the economic factor, but also the human, because it requires counting on specialized personnel with technical knowledge. In order to solve these high expenses, the CMS (Content Management Systems) is introduced. These systems, offer tools and very powerful functionalities that help, in an efficient way, to solve the tasks related to the administration of portals content. Its main contribution is offering support to the owners of the website, by facilitating them the administration content tasks even though they have no previous knowledge in programming languages or designing webpages. The present article consolidates a conceptual base of CMS combined with the result of a proposal made for a venezuelan banking sector. As a final result, measurements were obtained, giving extra value to the CMS owners.
