espanolEl desplazamiento forzado es una de las expresiones mas dolorosas de ]a violencia en Colombia. Su incrementoes proporcional a la intensificacion del conflicto armado, cuyos actores lo generan como estrategia de guerra para despejar y controlar territorios. En ]a medida en que el problema social de] desplazamiento se ha hecho visible a la sociedad colombiana y a]a vez contribuyendo a esta visibilidad, se han estado produciendo diferentes estudios y documentos, que con distintas metodologias, tematicas y coberturas, aportan en la descripcion y comprension de este fenomeno. Muchos de estos materiales, sin embargo, no se han publicado y su circulacion es bastante restringida, con ]0 cual se limita su identificacion y acceso a las personas interesadas por iniciar o continuar investigaciones al respecto. Este texto, recoge un buen numero de referencias bibliograficas sobre el desplazamiento, especialmente sobre el caso colombiano, producidas hasta el mes de junio de 1998. Pretendemos ofrecer asi una informacion organizada tematicamente y con palabras eIaves de referencia, que permitan tanto la consulta de los documentos, como un panorama de los enfasis y vacios tematicos de la investigacion existente en el pais, sobre el desplazamiento. La concrecion de este esfuerzo tuvo diversas motivaciones. Por una parte, el equipo de investigacion sobre el desplazamiento, del Instituto de Estudios Rurales y de la Maestria en Desarrollo Rural, necesitaba recoger y organizar material que hemos consultado y adquirido a lo largo de estos siete anos de trabajo sobre la problematica. Asimismo, era necesario apoyar a estudiantes de la misma maestria y de otras facultades, e inclusive a estudiantes extranjeros, que manifestaron su interes por realizar trabajos de grado en esta tematica. Finalmente, el mismo equipo, asumio la mision de hacer la revision bibliografica, dentro del intento conjunto de diversas obras de la Compania de Jesus para compartir experiencias y conjugar esfuerzos frente al desplazamiento, desde sus propias especificidades. La revision no tiene caracter exhaustivo y a la fecha esta incompleta, pero creemos que puede ser un aporte dentro del proceso mismo de construccion de conocimiento y de busqueda de alternativas sobre la migracion forzada. EnglishForced displacement is one of the most painful manifestations of violence in Colombia. Its increase goes hand in hand with the intensification ofthe armed conflict and its utilization by the different armed groups as a war strategy to eIear territories of their opponents and control them. The social prob]em of displacement has become visible for Colombian society and this visibility is partly due to the production of different studies and documents that through different methodologies, subjects and types of coverage contribute to a better description and comprehension of this phenomenom. However, a good deal of this material has not been published and its circulation is rather reduced. This restricts its identification and the access to people interested in initiating or continuing research on the subject. This paper ineludes a considerable quantity of bibliographic references on displacement produced up to June, 1998, particularly concerning the Colombian case. We are offering information organized by subjects and with key reference words allowing not only the consultation of said documents but also the detection of thematic emphasis and gaps existing in Colombia regarding displacement. The fulfillment of this task had different motivations. FirstIy, the research team on displacement of the Institute ofRural Studies and Master's Degree in Rural Development needed to collect and organize the material that we have consulted and acquired along seven years ofwork on this problem.It was also necessary to lend support to students of said Master's Degree and from otherschoolsofthe University who have expressed their interest in carrying out graduation thesis on the subject. Finally, the same team, and as part of the Universidad Javeriana, assumed the mission ofmaking a bibliographic review as part ofthe joint attempt made by several working disciplines of the Society of Jesus in order to share experiences and conjugate efforts concerning displacement from their own specific tasks. The review does not pretend to be exhaustive and up to the present date is incomplete. Nevertheless, we believe it may be acontribution wilhin the knowledge-building process as well as in the search for alternalives concerning forced migration.
