This article discusses from a perspective on cultural heritage studies, theoretical concepts concerning memory and forgetting, reparation to victims and the contribution to the guarantees of non-repetition as well as various international experiences in reconstruction of the social fabric after an armed conflict. Subsequently, it describes an experience developed in the Colombian context, within the framework of the unesco Chair for the years 2013 and 2014, with the student community of the School “Jorge Soto del Corral” in the borough of “Santa Fe” in Bogota D.C. There, workshops were held with adolescents that sought to establish the extent of the theoretical concepts discussed through field work with people who have been directly affected by the Colombian armed conflict.
