This research article is a state-of-the-art review of research conducted in Latin America from 2005 to 2020 on the subject of the sociology of experience applied to educational contexts. The theory of the sociology of experience is taken from the reflections of the French sociologist, François Dubet. This research was carried out with a mixed methodology that combines documentary analysis and coding with network analysis. The research process focused on the collection of articles from Latin American indexed journals on topics of sociology of school experience, the respective coding in Nvivo and the analysis of links in graphs using the Gephi program. After the analysis, the methodologies, study subjects and categories of conclusions presented in the documents consulted were reviewed. At the end of this article, you may find general elements of this state of the art in addition to general recommendations for future research on the subject.
