This graduate work was completed in order to obtain a diagnosis regarding the internal business factors in the textile sector in Bogota-Cundinamarca, by identifying the key factors that affect or benefit these companies when deciding whether to participate in the association policy. This policy specifically refers to the Bogota fashion Cluster programme, which seeks to economically and strategically connect the different actors in the same sector with the objective of creating a cooperative environment in which there is a continuous flow of information, in order to achieve global competiveness. Additionally, to fully understand this topic, research into primary and secondary sources has been carried out, which has allowed identification of the situation which exists in the textile industry in the capital. Furthermore, the Bogota fashion Cluster programme has been studied, which is compared to one of the leading regions in Colombia in business cooperation programmes; the Medellin fashion cluster. Finally, an in-depth interview with the main micro-entrepreneurs of the sector has been carried out in order to get a more detailed diagnosis of the current reality. Having condensed this information, conclusions and recommendations were generated in order to validate the proposal raised.
