State of the art that collects pronouncements by various authors on the role of the United Nations, specifically the Mission MINUGUA, in the process of post-conflict reconstruction in Guatemala between 1994 and 2004. It is based on some dimensions of democratization such as the rule of law, representative democracy, the supremacy of the civil power, and the strengthening of democratic culture. It also takes into account the elements of transitional justice, namely: truth, justice and reparation.
