The purpose of this research is to study the effect of the rural associativity on the improvement of the living conditions of the small rural producers and their families in the North of Cauca. To evaluate the effect of the associativity of the producers and their living conditions, it was proposed the construction of the living conditions index for rural producers (ICVPR) through the multiple factorial analysis (AFM). As part of the results, it was evidenced that the living conditions of rural producers improved by 19.23 units according to the constructed index. It is a relevant fact that 85.3% of rural producers surveyed had access to credit 4 times or more after the association period.
