In November 2009 after several workshops between the public sector, private sector, community and subject matter experts from twenty locations in the Capital District was created as the result of a process of engagement and consultation with stakeholders in the community, public policy for sport, recreation and physical activity to Bogota "Bogotá more active" 2009 2019. The participation process was conducted through 40 workshops, two by location, during the months of October and November 2008, which guaranteed the space to discuss the most important issues under consideration of the different communities. Citizen participation is the subject matter of the investigation. In this context, the research question that is intended to answer throughout this paper is: What was the role of public participation in the formulation of public policy for sport, recreation and physical activity to Bogota "Bogotá more active" 2009-2019 in Suba?.
