This state of the art is intended to address concerning ethics in the conduct of public servants in Colombia, through a comprehensive review of the relevant literature that exists on the topic, as well as the different regulatory standards and official documents that deal with the public servers. Thus, special emphasis will be on the changes that has taken the organization, operation and control of those who serve the Colombian state since the establishment of the current Constitution of 1991. Consequently, some reflections on the subject will be found, which come from research and interviews with public servants.
