This research paper, aims to analyse the incidence the humanitarian aid offered by international organisms such as FAO, OXFAM y ICRC towards the food security of the population in Indonesia after the Indian Ocean tsunami. It defends, that humanitarian aid deployed by these international actors influences towards food security of the population of Indonesia after the natural event, restoring some components of food security such as: access and utilization of food through various strategies like restoration of crops and desalination programs, between others which make an essential part of the process of rehabilitation and reconstruction. To develop this research, the concepts of humanitarian and food security will be used. It is also necessary to produce a documentary design which includes primary and secondary sources of information.
