ABSTRACT In mimicry, a species signals a fitness cost or benefit to a receiver by resemblance to another model species. While ants are among the most frequent models, few cases of ant mimicry are known in stink bugs (Pentatomidae). Here, using a geometric morphometric analysis, we propose that Rio nymphs might mimic Cephalotes ants.
