The analysis of Business Intelligence - BI - becomes an essential factor for new business models, taking into account the demands of the market and its dynamics in relation to the use of technologies and communications. In light of this research, it is intended to analyze, from a descriptive and documentary qualitative perspective, the findings that this concept has originated and the way in which the authors have observed its evolution in organizational terms. Thus, the document starts from an introduction where the topic is contextualized and gives indications of the main problems of using this set of tools for Colombia, and then, from a review of the literature, it addresses the topic from a theoretical perspective and is confronted in the results of the document through the methodology used. Finally, the conclusions on the topic addressed are shown.
