In today's increasingly competitive environment, organizations recognize the human element as a fundamental source of improvement. On one hand, managers focus on employees' personal well-being, pursuing to improve and understand job performance. The purpose is to present a theoretical review to show the foundations, background, models and evaluation of job performance models and the background, myths, techniques and definitions of meditation, examining the nature of the relationship between these two variables. This study is an investigation that focuses on exploring the influence of meditation on job performance, a review of these two concepts that govern a subsequent intervention with a quasi-experiment is made. Meditation-based approaches are being widely implemented, but there is minimal research rigorously evaluating their effectiveness. The study reveals the beneficial influence that can be caused on work performance by meditating regularly.
