This thematic issue aims to offer the public a selection of research articles, debates, commentaries, technical notes, and interviews that deal with advances in agrifood innovation developed in the face of climate change and food security in territories throughout Colombia. This issue will mainly focus on compiling studies that allow an understanding of how technological bets based on science, technology, and innovation have contributed to developing experiences with local communities. The contents will highlight those scientific advances that have generated changes and impacts favoring the connection with nature and knowledge on biodiversity and that, in turn, contribute to mitigating the effects of climate change and strengthening food security and sovereignty
