The purpose of this paper is to evaluate the sociocultural sustainability level in a coastal territory of the Colombian Caribbean, aswell as comparing its behavior with that of other tourist destinations. The research uses the case study method with a qualitativefocus, implementing twelve indicators to evaluate the sociocultural sustainability of tourism through surveys and secondarysources consulted. The findings made it possible to identify similarities in terms of gender equality and significant discrepanciesregarding penetration, accessibility, and satisfaction of residents with tourism. The work concluded identifying the need to carryout these measurements periodically through a follow-up and monitoring strategy, which would maximize its relevance andstrengthen the planning and management processes of tourism at the local level.
