The chapter aims to substantiate the significance of cultivating media education and information literacy, which empower civil society sectors to confront the VUCA environment and cater to their interests and needs. As a result, they fuel the economy and enable the establishment of small and large businesses. With the recognition that populism has an impact on the bonds of trust within civil society that are needed for creating sustainable, supportive, and cooperative economies, as well as production levels that strive for equity and creativity, the prolongation of a scenario marked by volatility, uncertainty, complexity and ambiguity becomes possible.
