This research aims to design the hardware for a CANSAT picosatellite for the prediction of carbon monoxide (CO) in the air at the Libre University El Bosque campus. The goal is to identify the necessary sensors to collect data and establish the levels of CO pollution in different areas of the mentioned university. Additionally, the defined functional and non-functional requirements necessitate a detailed analysis for the selection of sensors, control board, communication system, and power system. A requirements verification model based on use cases involving quantitative and qualitative measurements, as well as theoretical maximum and minimum values, is also required.
