Historically, Art Education has been historically positioned as a device to enhance abilities, skills and human habits from the first years of life. From this perspective, the main purpose of this article is to illustrate the product of the systematic review carried out between March 2021 and January 2023, whose objective was the exploration of studies to identify and analyze the relationship between arts education and education for life in elementary school contexts. In this sense, the research was carried out in the Scopus, Web of science, Dialnet, Redalyc and Scielo databases. This is a descriptive study, duly registered in the checklist based on the PRISMA 2020 statement. Its contents detail relevant findings extracted from a rigorous final selection of 12 publications whose review leaves as a general conclusion the evident need to generate and strengthen strategies in which practices related to arts education are privileged as a path towards the strengthening of life skills, especially in primary education contexts, since this is a favorable stage for exploration, the strengthening of habits, communicative processes, creativity, logical thinking, emotional management, among other aspects of human formation in the individual and collective. In short, it is possible to evidence a panorama that places arts education as a device to generate forceful transformations in the educational, social and cultural spheres of humanity.
