Abstract Background Through this video we want to present the experience in the laparoscopic management of patients with rectus diastasis and concomitant ventral hernia in the city of Medellin (Colombia). Method 39-year-old male with surgical history of epigastric and umbilical hernia repair in 2021. Clinical complaint of abdominal pain and functional limitation. Abdominal CT with epigastric hernia M3W1, umbilical hernia M3W1 and rectus diastasis T1D2H1. Laparoscopic surgery staff decided preaponeurotic endoscopic repair of rectus diastasis and lightweight microporous polypropylene prophylactic mesh. Results In the outpatient follow-up, correction of the abdominal wall defect was evidenced by the physical examination. Furthermore, the patient reported the disappearance of symptoms. Conclusion Exploring the minimally invasive route in selected patients, associated with the use of meshes in concomitant ventral hernias larger than 1 cm or multiple hernias will allow us to develop our casuistry and thus develop clinical studies that allow to contribute to the limited evidence that currently exists.
