This book presents a compilation of the thoughts of various authors on the challenges facing their respective countries in areas such as criminology, human rights, and civil and commercial law. Its aim is to generate knowledge to better understand reality and offer alternative perspectives for its transformation. The authors reflect a humanistic concern to contribute their expertise to understanding the issues, seeking to initiate the necessary reflection to address sensitive issues for society and the individual, particularly regarding rights in the region. Therefore, in these articles, which are the result of theoretical and descriptive research, they offer documented and useful perspectives for social purposes. The book is divided into three parts: the first addresses aspects of criminology, including a reinterpretation of the evidentiary standard in relation to feminicide. The second part discusses the treatment of human rights during the COVID-19 pandemic, with analyses on the protection of human rights and public policies for social equality, as well as labor rights and telecommuting during the pandemic. Finally, the third part focuses on aspects of civil and commercial law, proposing the improvement of contracts as a basis for economic growth and addressing the challenges of the multilateral trade system in relation to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
