A new species of Copidosoma Ratzeburg (Hymenoptera: Encyrtidae) parasitizing Neoleucinodes elegantalis (Guenée), N. imperialis (Guenée) and N. prophetica (Dyar) Capps (Lepidoptera: Crambidae) in Colombia and Ecuador
A new species of Copidosoma Ratzeburg, 1844 (Hymenoptera: Encyrtidae) from Colombia and Ecuador, Copidosoma takumasakondoi Vargas & Díaz, sp. nov., is described and illustrated based on the adult female and male. Copidosoma takumasakondoi was found parasitizing three species of nightshade fruit borers, i.e., Neoleucinodes elegantalis (Guenée), N. imperialis (Guenée) and N. prophetica (Dyar) Capps (Lepidoptera: Crambidae).
