Abstract:

This article presents the design of a control system for a water tank where it will be filtered and distributed automatically for the supply of drinking water to a home and for washing the coffee on the Las Minas farm. The design was based on the methodology developed by Karl T. Ulrich, which is based on six phases: recognition of the need, identification of the problem, information gathering, conceptualization, evaluation and communication of the design. A technical visit was made to the tank located in the municipality of Oiba, Santander, to determine its status and the general arrangement of the different components based on the best and most economical water filtration method, considering the requirements established by the final user. Likewise, the responses obtained from the PID controller, based on the second method of Zigler Nichols, providing the system with speed and stability with its implementation.
