The growth in the telecommunications market has generated different forms of competition; therefore, regulatory entities conduct a continuous analysis of competition to identify the consequences for the development of the sector and its users. This paper presents the statistical and competition or concentration analysis for the mobile internet market in Colombia using the Herfindahl-Hirschman index (HHI). The above is for the number of accesses, income, and traffic in the operators during the last eleven years. This evaluation shows low competition or high concentration in this market. In addition, recommendations are made to reduce concentration based on recent policies developed by the regulatory entity.
