The research seeks to analyze the effects on social and personal development in 6-year-old boys and girls due to the time they are exposed to video games. The focus of the project was based on the qualitative, with a phenomenological design, where the researcher studies a phenomenon and is able to describe the experience or situation seen, the population sample was made up of 6-year-old boys and girls who are studying first and the parents or their caregivers, who belong to the San Rafael educational institution, from the town of Kennedy in the city of Bogotá. The instruments used to collect the information were a script of questions, and a semi-structured interview, which allowed characterizing and identifying said problem, within the family and personal context.
