The academic tutoring at Universidad Veracruzana is posed as a strategy to accomplish the objectives of the Flexible and Integral Educational Model (Abbreviated as MEIF in Spanish), its establishment and development require a change of attitude among professors and a new approach to University formation focused on the student, that provides him with options to improve through tutorial attention, as well as guides and support throughout academic life of University students.The Institutional Tutoring System (SIT in Spanish) suggests a teacher-centered approach in which learning is the paradigm of reference for educational practice.The Engineering Faculty of Universidad Veracruzana in Veracruz Region has set in motion the development of academic tutoring for the seven educational programs that make it up, obtaining results that benefit its students of Engineering generated through collaborative work, competencies development and teaching innovation.
