Neurodegenerative diseases, especially Alzheimer's Disease (AD), reduce the quality of human life and are diseases with high mortality. Developments in the treatment of AD and other neurodegenerative diseases are very important due to reasons such as the pathophysiology of AD has not been fully explained and the treatment of AD has not yet been achieved at the desired level.Within the scope of this sttudy, a series of new compounds designed from Donepezil, including piperazine and chalcone structures, were designed, synthesized and their structures elucidated. While elucidating the structures of the compounds, IR, 1H-NMR, 13C-NMR and HRMS methods were used. The activities of the obtained compounds on cholinesterase enzymes (ChE) and monoamine oxidase (MAO) enzymes were investigated. In accordance with the biological activity tests, the interactions of compound 4g with the acetylcholine esterase (AChE) enzyme were explained by molecular docking and molecular dynamics methods.
