Food safety is an aspect of great relevance for human health and well-being. Establishing a model of agricultural vocation is important for the generation of public policies that guarantee food security. This document presents the development of a computational model for agricultural employment in Spain. For the elaboration of the model, neural networks, neuro-fuzzy systems and vector support machines are considered. The results show an adequate adjustment of the real data as well as the comparison of the techniques used. Artificial neural networks and neuro-fuzzy systems are those that obtained the best results for projecting employment in the agricultural sector.
