This paper provides an overview of ecotourism, emphasizing the connection between tourism and sustainability. This research aimed to conduct a correlational analysis of sustainable tourism perception across five different tourist sites in northern Colombia. These sites have distinctive attributes and activities. 125 surveys through tourists and stakeholders were completed, and statistical analysis was conducted using the Pearson coefficient to measure users' perceptions regarding various components of sustainable tourism. The research incorporated an interdisciplinary evaluation of sustainable tourism elements. The findings underscore the potential of the Colombian northern region as a natural tourism destination, underscoring the importance of understanding user perceptions for informed sustainable planning and management.
