Currently, ecosystems worldwide are under constant threat due to human activity, which generates habitat destruction, excessive exploitation of resources, and increased pollution. The lack of environmental awareness and knowledge contributed to the degradation of the fauna and flora, for example in the case of arachnids, whose extinction could increase the number of pests and impact agricultural productivity. This problem was approached through the development of a mobile application called "BiteApp" using React Native and Javascript, which provided information to increase environmental awareness and protection of these species. First, a Pretest was applied to 71 high school students from the educational institution of Aipecito (Huila), to evaluate previous spiders and scorpions knowledge, then a comparative analysis was made with the results achieved in a Posttest administered after receiving technology-mediated training and using the mobile application. The results showed that students improved their attitude towards arachnids and increased knowledge about them. A decrease in the perception that specimens of the Arachnida class represent a danger was also observed. Overall, the mobile application was functional and easy to use, allowing students to interact and learn about arachnids effectively.
