Currently, coffee is one of the most cultivated products in the Americas. Brazil is the country that commercializes and produces the largest percentage of coffee in the world. The coffee plant is characterized for being cultivated in tropical and subtropical zones to ensure optimal development from the planting stage to the first flowering. Rust is the most serious disease that weakens and directly attacks the adult leaves of the coffee plant. This article describes the development and analysis of the techniques implemented to detect rust in coffee crops. The information and results were obtained from the latest research found in the IEEE database and the Google Scholar search engine.
