This work is part of project "Testbed for application of Internet of Things (IoT)", is focus in the design of wireless sensor networks using the 802.11 protocols (WiFi) ) of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (IEEE), adjusting them to the Internet of Things (IoT) environment, for this a star type topology is defined where a central station is linked to several peripheral stations , getting the central station to receive and store the transmitted data, wirelessly, from the peripheral stations, as soon as the data is received, processed, visualized and stored in a cloud application (MySQL), once the network is implemented Aspects such as cloud hosting, visualization, efficiency, benefits and unfavorable things of the protocols were analyzed, based on the results of the functional tests.
