Due to high yearly solar irradiance, average values and the creation and development of government incentive solar photovoltaic systems are one of the Colombia's greatest alternative energy sources. Among them, a 400 kWp solar PV system fulfilled a sustainable campus where lots of nonlinear loads have been identified as sources of power quality disturbances. Renewable Energy Systems (RES) integration is related to power quality, harmonics. Integrating RES with Battery Energy Storage Energy Systems (BEES) can substantially reduce the effects of power quality disturbances. This article explains the behavior of power quality when a photovoltaic solar system with storage using batteries (SAEB) is connected to the power distribution network. To analyze the above, the simulation of the photovoltaic system of the Universidad Autόnoma de Occidente is carried out in the Neplan – Smarter Tool software, allowing the identification of harmonics, harmonic distortion (THD <inf xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">i</inf> ) considering national and international regulations such as the IEEE Std 519™ and IEEE Std 1159™.
