The priority consideration of the contributions of small and medium-sized enterprises to the sustainable development of the regions constitutes a significant contribution to the so-called emerging economy.Therefore, the objective allows a comparative analysis of the dynamic capabilities of small and medium-sized enterprises in Colombia, Mexico and Ecuador.From a qualitative-quantitative approach, a descriptive correlational research was carried out.For data collection, a structured questionnaire with 12 questions was applied to a sample of 1923 companies located in Ecuador, Mexico and Colombia.The data were processed using the statistical technique Factor Analysis (FA) and correlation.The results determine important coincidences between the business sectors analyzed, in addition to highlighting the effects on the permanent search for financial economic stability, which discourages renewed ways of practicing and appropriating capabilities as a strategy for business transformation.It is concluded, on guidelines that contribute to the development of public policies, focused on the sustainability of practices that strengthen SMEs, strengthen the economy of three countries, and be emulated to other contexts in Latin America.
