A review was made on the visible web of Circular Economy (CE), with the aim of understanding the evolution of this paradigm with a focus on SMEs in the last ten years. Through the use of search engines such as Google, Google Scholar and keywords: circular economy, business circularity and SMEs in Spanish. For this, 50 documents were reviewed, Spain appears as the country that most develops CE work focused on SMEs, followed by Mexico with the topic of waste recycling. In 2019 there was an increase in publications, 2021 with a greater number of indexed articles, and contributions of case studies in different types of companies and sectors. Other works have provided the definition of CE, since this approach is under construction and given its relevance to contribute to the 2030 agenda, there is a need for its theoretical consolidation and its applicability in Mexico. The information on the visible web is extensive and it is important to properly select its use while the specialized web allows you to find formal and scientific information, however, it is not available to everyone, so guidance is invited to improve searches so that the information is available to all.
