The objective of this book is to present different forms of social psychology and different theoretical and methodological positions related to this field of knowledge. To achieve this, fourteen works were compiled and grouped into five sections. The book integrates two types of works: some that show results of applied research and others that are more theoretical in nature. The title refers to the simplest definition of the term “lesson,” which is that of an exposition. Each topic explored and presented here was written by specialists. The “Crossroads” section is the journey of social psychology from micropsychology to cultural psychology; the “Paths” section addresses the topics of time and social oblivion; in “Trails,” there is a discussion about politics and democracy; “Footpaths” includes two very particular themes of social psychology: love and old age, and “Routes” included topics such as resilience, indigenous social participation, and the old discussion about the categories of individual and society. This book was originally planned based on a colloquium held between the Mexican Society of Social Psychology (SOMEPSO) and the Faculty of Psychology of the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). Thanks to the efforts made with the Cooperative University of Colombia (UCC), a work with collaborations from three countries - Mexico, Colombia, and Argentina - was possible. We hope that this work will be productive and mark the beginning of future collaborations.
