Professional philosophy has traditionally been a highly masculinized field. Studies have been done in various countries about gender equality in the field, showing that in academic philosophy, as opposed to what happens in other humanities and social sciences, there has been no significant progress toward equality in terms of the participation of women in teaching and research positions. In the Colombian case, there is no information about women's participation in philosophical academia. This study offers a descriptive analysis of women's participation in philosophy programs in Colombia, showing that we are still a long way from gender equality in the field (24.8 %). The main objective is to contribute to an understanding of gender inequality in higher education in philosophy in Colombia, in terms of teaching positions occupied by women.
