The study reviews the targets planned by the five south American countries in relation to education, in the period of the ODM and its transition to the ODS. Focusing on the main advances in the escolar matter in the low cycle and high cycle of secondary for the period between 2005-2017. Hence, the administrative scholar records, which are the main element to present several indexes such as enrolment, permanency, dropout. Therefore, it was found that the realities of the low and the high secondary are very different, the first course shows an admission gross rate of 96%, while the last academic cycle details drop-out in all five countries, which rate is above 45%, it was analysed in the 12 calendar year studied (2005-2017). However, the five countries show improvement throughout the calendar years, meaning, the engaging rates grow. But such measurement is not enough to meet the right to study and meet the ODS by 2030, therefore, those Countries must focus their efforts onto the higher courses, in others words, students should be encouraged to continue studying, so they can finish high school.
