The purpose of the following document is to publicize relevant aspects of dog behavior and incident factors in it; A bibliographic review was carried out on different topics such as the natural behavior of dogs, sensory organs, pain, pain scale, stereotypes, the 5 domains and environmental enrichment. The literature review methodology of 23 authors was used in databases such as Escopus, Elseiver, Animals, Google Scholar, and Sciencedirect; All of the above made it possible to identify, select, evaluate and synthesize the information collected. This exercise allowed us to know in a timely manner the issues related to animal welfare of a species very close to man such as dogs, a species that day by day takes on more importance in the different areas related to man.
