Numerous investigations have revealed that the causes of stress present physiological, metabolic and ethological changes in the homeostasis of heavy birds, being greater the longer the duration and intensity of the stressor, implying a great effort by the bird to maintain itself, which leads to to affect their welfare and quality of the carcass.The purpose of this document is to publicize important aspects related to the theology and welfare of broiler breeding birds, through a bibliographic review on topics such as natural behavior, pain assessment scale and stereotypes thereof. The methodology used was the systemic review according to the PRISMA guidelines, based on recognized data, which allowed the identification, selection, evaluation and synthesis of the information collected. Allowing to appreciate the importance of identifying aspects such as development and growth of birds, nutritional and feeding requirements, health status among others. Determining that the physical development, growth, nutrition and well-being of heavy birds are influenced by the environment in which they develop and the alterations that occur in it.
