Phishing, is a phenomenon, operating by establishing a communication that appearsto have been sent from a legitimate platform. It often deceives innocent users by asking forcrucial credentials such as user id, password, etc. Hence it is very important to counter thephishing attempts to prevent data loss and enhance data security. With this objective,supervised machine learning concept-based model is proposed which helps in predicting anURL is phishing or legitimate by considering several distinct informative features of website.
