Much of the vehicular chaos is due to vehicles parked on the roads, sidewalks and sidewalks. The bad parking on the road of at least 288 vehicles daily and the 500 simple crashes daily on average, where the affected are the 'cans' of vehicles and are caused by recklessness, lack of skill of the driver or disrespect for traffic rules, are significantly affecting mobility in the city. (@SectorMovilidad). According to Ricardo Peña, professor at the Faculty of Engineering of the National University of Colombia, public mobility policies have been focused on the public transportation system and the disincentive of the private vehicle, leaving behind the parking system, whose infrastructure and operation has been developed by private sector initiative (MEDELLIN, 2020). The Pontificia Universidad Javeriana is no stranger to this problem, which is why it was taken as a case for the development of the project. The project proposes the design of an integral parking system for automobiles that contemplates sustainability, spatiality and technology, with the objective of optimizing the spaces destined for vehicle parking and the satisfaction of the users of the same, in the campus of the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana. Based on the above, reference is made to district regulations on the subject, a taxonomy of family vehicles in Colombia is made, the situation of vehicle parking from the perspective of the user, the owner and the builder of the parking space is analyzed, and a technological monitoring of the main platforms that provide such service in Colombia and the world is carried out; all this in order to establish design parameters and alternative solutions. After analyzing all this information, the solution approach was determined: to create an integral system for car and motorcycle parking services that integrates existing technologies and responds to the principles of sustainability, which was the particular interest of the researcher for the development of the project. The advanced analysis allowed concluding that there is an opportunity to advance an integral offer of parking systems that incorporates to the problem of private and public parking space those of the change of motor platform of the vehicles, thus contributing to the use of electric cars in the private vehicle fleet, and, better yet, attending beyond the availability of a space, the needs of the users. All this, with sustainability approaches so that even the owner of the parking space will benefit from the implementation of the system.
