By means of Monte Carlo simulations and all the available libraries on BEAMnrc code, we successfully modeled the Linac Head from VARIAN CLINAC IX lineal accelerator for the 6 MV nominal energy. The target, primary collimator, vacuum window, flattening filter, ionization chambers, mirror, jaws and exit window, were modeled according to the vendor specifications, to obtain the phase space that allow us to make the PDD and profiles curves for 6 x 6 cm.^2, 10 x 10 cm.^2 and 20 x 20 cm.^2 fields that matches the values obtained with experimental measures realized on the modeled Linac. The materials used for this work basically are the measures for PDD and beam profiles and the BEAMnrc user interface for the Linac head modeling with DOSXYZnrc form the phantom modeling. The results show PDD and beam profiles that fulfill the acceptation values that the TRS 430 suggest, normally a variation under 2% on dose comparisons and 2mm for space criteria comparisons on the beam penumbra area for dose profiles and the buildup region for PDD curves. This work succeeded these values for more than 96% of the evaluated point of every graph.
