My thesis is a travel and reading diary that speaks in swamp's language. In the middle of a Colombian swamp and an arm of the Amazon River, I observe the existence of flora and fauna and start a conversation with them. My female and human organs find, through travel and writing, in addition to compassion for other forms of life, a world of convulsions and environmental injuries in Colombian waters. The swamp is the place that allows me, by the hand of María Luisa Bombal and Clarice Lispector –whose works are also swampy– to propose the plant kingdom and other living creatures as objects of study of literature, creative writing as a rigorous form of research and thought, and literature itself as a theoretical language for reading reality.
